American Express is known for its credit cards but the company also started a tradition called “Small Business Saturday“ which is like Black Friday for small business. Shop Small Saturday encourages people to shop with local smaller businesses. This year is the 10th Anniversary of the tradition and Amex decided to commemorate it by selecting 7th Floor Clothing and other small businesses for a pop up shop in New York City’s Soho district which also houses popular shops like Louis Vuitton, Fendi, and many more. To kick off the celebration, Amex decided to throw a huge party and media event hosted by supermodel and small business owner Karlie Kloss. The theme of the pop up is the Future of Retail complete with an augmented reality booth for 7th Floor, The New Stand booth and even a futuristic Fed Ex delivery robot.
